ABOUT MICHELLE
Oui Design London is fronted by Michelle Japheth. With generations of couturiers and master tailors on both sides of her family, meant that she grew up surrounded by beautiful fabrics, so a career involving design and textiles was inevitable.
Her design career started at the age of 20 designing and manufacturing her own range of cocktail wear that was sold both in the UK and abroad. This was followed by a range of bespoke jewellery that was displayed in Simpsons Piccadilly and at Zandra Rhodes’ boutique. Michelle went on to develop other well-known clothing collections that featured embellishments, embroidery and beading.
Her love of beautiful fabrics ultimately led her back to college to study soft furnishing in 1998, finalising the 2 year course with private tuition under Lady Caroline Wrey.
Oui Design was born in 2000, offering a high-quality interior design service with specialist emphasis on soft furnishings and upholstery. Having worked for many years alongside many other professionals in the industry, as well as compiling a comprehensive little black book of suppliers and artisans over the years, Oui Design has naturally evolved into an exclusive boutique interior design consultancy.

Passionate about colour, texture and finish, and with access to many designer collections, we are able to design, specify and procure everything from wall and floor finishes, lighting, and bespoke joinery to the final room dressing, with soft furnishing and upholstery being a particular speciality.
